just came back from another confirmation camp... so exhausted. body clock a little too adjusted to regular sleeping time and two late nights just left me lagging. many many great experiences tho... lolz and hopefully a recharged spiritual battery.
one analogy that really struck me during a session was using a rope as a metaphor for relationships. more specifically, a relationship can be represented by two people holding a rope. the length of rope separating them is indicative of the strength of their relationship. so the way it works, when ppl have conflicts, the rope is cut. but when ppl reconcile and talk things out, the relationship is rejoined by tying a knot to join the rope back together again.
the beautiful thing is: tying a knot in a rope reduces the length of a rope, because a certain length of rope is needed to tie the knot itself. so for each knot that is tied, the rope gets shorter, and the two people get closer together.
there's the old adage that "time heals all wounds", but i think they forget to add, that wounds that heal without salves leave scars of bitterness and resentment. and salves? lolz just good ol' heart to heart chats. smth that always takes a little bit of courage, a little bit of initiative, a little bit of understanding, a little bit of love all mixed into a healing potion that seems bitter to make, but sweet to take.
